What is a blood pressure measurement and how does it work?

Blood pressure measurement is a simple and risk-free examination by which the pressure of arteries is measured. There are two procedures which are frequently used: either by invasive blood pressure involving direct measurement of arterial pressure by placing a cannula needle in an artery or by a cuff that inflates is wrapped around your arm (upper arm or wrist) or leg according to the RR-(Riva-Rocci) method.

At our pharmacy your blood pressure is measured by the RR-method. This procedure is painless and only takes a couple of minutes. With the help of the inflating cuff the peak pressure (systolic value) and the lowest pressure (diastolic value) are determined.

After your values are determined you get comprehensive consultation. Due to avoid coincidence fluctuations triggered by stress, blood pressure measurement is usually only effective over a longer period of time. Blood test

The blood test is a procedure by which little amounts of blood extracted from a vein are examined for its active ingredients and constituents via medical laboratory methods. Because the extraction of a little blood amount can be used in a wide variety of ways it is possible to carry out a lot of examinations with only one blood sample.

There are different ways of taking blood samples. Blood samples can be taken from both arteries and veins. If only a few drops of blood are needed a small puncture into the earlap or fingertip is sufficient.
